The Blacktown City Masters Swimming club is a member of Masters Swimming Australia, whose mission it is to provide an environment to encourage all adults, regardless of ability, to swim regularly and compete in order to promote fitness and improve their general wellbeing. Masters Swimming is all about Fitness, Friendship and Fun, not only competition; it is about staying in shape, meeting like-minded people and enjoying the experience of swimming. What that experience is, is yours to determine, you can swim: to compete, to stay fit, to train and stay motivated as part of a group, or for purely social reasons.
Blacktown City Masters was formed by a group of adult swimmers who wanted to enjoy their swimming in a group environment. Over the years the club has grown to be a consistent top 5 performing club at NSW and Australian competitions, having won the National Championships in 2005 and 2015, and the Short Course State Championships in 2017.
We train at Blacktown Aquatic Centre (4 Boyd Street, Blacktown)
You’ll find us training in the indoor pool year-round:

No. The level of competition is totally up to you, you can compete as much or as little as you like; anywhere from local Sydney-based carnivals to state, national and international competitions.
To help you decide if Masters swimming is for you, we offer six trial training sessions. However, due to insurance reasons, to continue swimming with Blacktown City Masters after the trial sessions, all swimmers must be a member of the club and of Masters Swimming Australia. See here for details of membership.
If you would like to trial our training sessions, join us at the shallow end of the indoor pool at 5.55pm any Tuesday or Thursday night. There is no cost for the trial sessions, however you will need to pay pool entry.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Swimmers are required to pay pool entry to Blacktown Aquatic Centre before each session. See here for details of entry costs. As of 2015, there are absolutely no training fees.
All swimmers with Blacktown City Masters must be a member of the club as well as a member of Masters Swimming Australia. See here for details of membership costs.
